What is a good Chevy that i could use for mudding?
Im thinking:
1. The new Chevy Silverado 09 1500
2. The new Chevy Colorado 09
3. 1996 Chevy Z71 Silverado M8
or if you have a better truck please put it down. It has to be Chevy! Im going to raise the suspension also like 7 inches or more.
Get the Z71 cause it has a stiffer suspension and an off road package on it. plus you will save money on aftermarket mods. plus I love those trucks I think they are the best looking Trucks. Make sure they have a locked rear end you want both tires to spin not just one. I used to mud all the time in my 1996 2500 Ram with detroit lockup and 6" lift. Nice trucks though, really all of them will do but to be honest the new 2500 look the best lifted. I work at a Chevy dealership and we make custom trucks to order and we always put a custom 2500 with 6" lift on the lot they look much better than the 1500 lifted.

well i have a 98 Silverado Z71, id' say if your looking for a truck just for mudding or something for the weekends then go for the older one, don't use a brand new truck for mudding, use the rest of the money for upgrades, plus the insurance won't be as much

I am wrapping my headers and am wondering if I can use header paint to seal the wrap instead of silicone Spay?
I found a video clip that recommended a silicone type header wrap spray to keep the wrap from becoming water logged and holding water directly on the header increasing chances of rusting when inclement weather hits or in case I go Mud Bogging in my truck. And then I got to thinking why wouldn’t high temp header paint work in its stead? Anyone know if this would work out ok?
Look it sounds to me your trying to prevent your header from rusting. That almost impossible. The best way to go is with ceramic coated or stainless steel . Even paint brake down over a period of time. As well silicone has its braking point to but you say you may go mud bogging .
Rap is usually for heat prevention because heaters produce allot of heat that cause the car or cab to get hot. If this is the case your are using this for then I would go with what the product recommends. Paint my headers first thoroughly with a High Temp Paint. Then use that rap and silicone spray.
