problems with my 350 in my chevy.?
my 93 chevy silverado has a 350 that was used on a farm all its life. all this time my truck spent in the mud and fields. its been beaten and wore out but it has 287000 miles. when i first start the truck it runs just fine but after a few seconds of driving or idling, the rpms jump all over. it idles at 600 but when it jumps. the idle goes from 600 down to 400 and up to 1500 and its not constant at ALL! it wont sit at certain rpm for more then a split second, while continuing to jump. then the check engine light will come on and it will stop jumping around. It said that my electronic ignition or someting like that. ive changed the cap and rotor, wires and alternater. and still it gained power but still has the same problem. i changed the exhaust but not the CAT. again, more power same problem. ive put injector cleaner in and it didnt resolve. ive changed the fuel filter when it froze on me last winter and that wasnt the problem either. i do have a worn down battery but that wouldnt cause that problem, at least so i think… and as i drive like this, the rpms are jumping up and down so rapidly but, it doesn’t jerk my truck around. it just feels like my truck hesitates or just loses power, Please HELP ME!! im about ready to sell this puppy

how can i make my 2 wheel drive truck peform better in sand/mud?
I have a '99 chevy blazer and I would like to know of anything i can do to make it perform better in sand and mud. I don't know what tires would be best and what a lift/leveling kit would do for me. If you have any ideas what so ever please tell me.
use a wider more aggressive tire,lower rear end gear limited slip
