Should You Buy a New Car or Used One

The extras are stuff like rust proofing, scotch guarding for example. It appears pretty straight forward but you’d be shocked at what number of people get taken on these. What’s truly amazing is that you get conned on a vehicle and say,’that’s not going to happen again!’ Then 3 years after, Bam, what the f….. Just happened??? The trickiest closing cost trick is the extended guaranty as the language used is so confusing. This isn’t even the guaranty the factory gives you for the auto. It’s a guaranty that covers the price of fixing the automobile should it break down on you. To get a way around this, you have got to know the dealer’s language and you must really get this part down. For instance, the extended guaranty is typically effective only up to an express quantity of mileage or term period, whichever happens first.

Make sure you have all the details on the terms if you opt to take on the additional vehicle coverage. The guaranty might also only cover express sorts of issues. If your extended guaranty does not cover each part of your vehicle, why bother? It’ll cost so be sure it’s worthwhile for you. Some extended guaranties don’t cover the bigger engine issues or certain power train issues, but just cover the smaller issues. If your engine conks out, you might be left in hanging.

Do not even trouble considering purchasing an extended warranty if you are only leasing the automobile for a tiny period like 36 months. Perhaps it’s way better for longer times of leasing like 60 months. Many extended guaranties don’t cover common-or-garden wear and tear policies, only breakdown issues. If you do insist on getting an extended guaranty, get one that covers you for both possibilities.

you’ll only essentially need to get a warranty on a more continuous car like a Lexus, Honda, or Toyota because extended guaranties seldom cover the expenses charged in cars that are closer to the present time of purchase. You can also need to get a guaranty that is effective instantly. You’ll also need to get a guaranty with a well established finance company and not one that go belly up in a year. Don’t purchase an extended guaranty right from the dealer. The following chart shows some of the extras that dealers try to get you on at closing. This could be incredibly aggravating how they attempt to weasel even more money out of you in the final analysis on stuff that you don’t have any need for in any way.

Most typical Extras at Closing Outline Rust proofing — Your price $800 — Dealers costs $40 Extended guaranty — Your price $1200 — Dealers costs $300 Scotch guard — Your price $300 — Dealers costs $5 Automobile alarm — Your price $400 — Dealers costs $100 Paint sealant — Your price $300 — Dealers costs $10 Credit / insurance costs — Your price $200 — Dealers costs $30 Detailing, pin striping — Your price $299 — Dealers costs $30 Total of extras — Your price $3499 — Dealers costs $515 Additional standard payment — Your price $97 — Dealers costs $0 As you can see, these extras when buying an auto will get you in the final analysis. If you can, you have to avoid them all together. Understand what you need and / or need and stick to your Guns.

To find inexpensive vehicle insurance, the sole way that you can do it is by taking some time to do some comparison shopping. You must study the different car insurance companies that are out there and what each has to offer . Then you wish to start comparing rates between the different corporation.

This is most true for those people that have to travel for long distances or often have to deal with peak hour traffic. Think of the poor people with very fast cars who can’t do anything but drive at a snail’s pace when there is too much traffic.

There are a number of steps that one can take to ensure that you make the most of your car journey. These can be applied whether you only have a short drive or a very long journey ahead of you.

As a first step, ensure that you have good music in your car. This should include music for different situations, so chilled out tunes for when you find yourself in the middle of a traffic jam, something with more of a refreshing beat for that early morning drive to work and then finally old favorites that will be the perfect companion on the open road. Make sure that everyone who is regularly in the car gets to contribute to this, that way you can avoid fights. So use music to set the tone.

In the mornings on your way to work you can make sure that you get the best start to the morning by ensuring that you take care of any meeting scheduling or task organization in the car. There are many mobile phones that now have functionalities that work in conjunction with various cars, have a look at yours and see if it does this. If you are able to get your mind set ready for work before you even step into the office, this is going to be a great start to the day.

Do a similar exercise on the way home from work. Ensure that you put the work day behind you by checking up on those tasks that you didn’t get to and scheduling them for the next day. Congratulate yourself on everything that you did manage to achieve and then close the door on work. Make sure that you have some relaxing music playing and take some nice deep breaths through your nose and out through your mouth.

Take the time on your drive home to make sure that you take a good few nice breaths so that you provide enough oxygen to your body. This will slow down your heart rate, make you feel refreshed, relaxed and revitalized.

Driving need not be a hassle if you treat it as a part of the day when you get to have some time to yourself with your thoughts. Try these exercises and you are bound to find the driving experience a lot more interesting to say the least.

Romping tractors in deep mud/swamp/creek!

Taking these 60′s garden tractors back through the woods, and the through the crazyiest stuff we can find. through all the mud, swamps, and the deep creek. mikes bolens 1000 was running off a magneto, and i didn’t know if it was reliable enough to be going through 2 and a half feet of water with. When i first put that Wisconsin Tr-10D engine on it, i hooked up the magneto, and it ran horribly. so i threw a coil on it, and it ran perfect. and i just stuck with that all last year. then i took the Startergenerator off of it, and made it pull start. not having a battery anymore, i took the 12V coil off of it, and returned the beast to the magneto. and it seems to run fine… but i really thought it wouldn’t take that water well at all. It was a Crazy thing, the other tractor, the 1050, with the 850 engine has a 12V coil, and that actually died in the middle of the creek! for a few seconds. i shook the coil wire off, and it started right back up. :) good thing too, because that water was cold, and i don’t know how we were gonna get those 550 pound tractors out of the creek… haha

oh yeah, and early on the rubber flex plate/u-joint type thing on mikes 1220 exploded when we were going around the circle. and thats a first! never had that problem before. i should probably go and fix that today.

Using ABS and Brakes for Urgent Stopping

Drivers who are alert and critically watching the road are able to use their skills to determine what dangers may lay ahead as they move on. These drivers are even able to react to the dangers swiftly without braking too quickly. Unfortunately, there are times when dangers occur that are unforeseeable. In these situations it is imperative to know how to brake safely, have control of the car, and stop in the emergency.

When trying to brake with care one needs to make sure they are braking in a straight line. Corners can make the weight of the vehicle transfer to the front of the car, lightening the rear of the vehicle, which makes stopping more difficult. The brakes have more demand on them with this situation. It is possible to skid, spin, or not stop properly if you have to brake and are going around a corner.

If there is ever a need to use heavy brakes when you go around a curve, you should apply the brakes gently and progressively allowing the transfer of weight to be less on the front and control to remain in your hands.

Most modern cars now have an anti lock braking system, know as ABS, fitted as standard and whilst it can greatly improve the control and stability of your car under heavy braking, especially when cornering, it does still have its limitations.

When you a brake heavily the ABS system can detect the point at which the wheels are starting to lock up, it then automatically releases the brakes for a fraction of second to prevent this happening. This process is repeated hundreds of times a second and occurs considerably quicker than the speed at which a normal driver could achieve.

ABS allows the wheels to continue moving, even when braking is more forceful. It also ensures the steering is controlled, and the tyres will grip. You can steer away from dangers and remain safe while driving.

The effect of ABS can normally be felt as a gentle pulsing through the brake pedal or by a distinct grinding sound. Its important that if you hear or feel these signs that you do not lift of the brake, but instead continual the heavy braking to ensure you stop in the shortest distance whilst making maximum use of the ABS.

ABS is a most effective system for heavy or emergency braking. It makes sure you can brake in a safe and controlled manner. You must realise that it cannot defy physics, which means driving to quickly on wet roads can lead to accidents even with ABS.
