These tips can save you money at the auto police auctions and help you in buying the repossessed car, truck or suv of your dreams.
* Look for the easiest possible problems first. Consider problems that are the first to identify. Look for such things as dents, rust, look at the tire rubber, check out the interior and look for signs of wreckage or neglect. By doing this, you can greatly reduce the risk of buying a lemon right off the bat, and save yourself much heartache.
* Bring a mechanic! Or bring someone who is experienced enough with vehicles to help you identify possible problems with the repossessed vehicle you are considering. Having such a person can provide you with a second opinion and great insight on possible problems that may exist in the vehicle you are choosing. This will save you a whole lot of trouble when buying a repossessed car, truck, SUV, boat or any vehicle you could be looking at. At most, you could pay someone $50 for their time, doing this could save you $5,000 at the auto repair shop!
* Look at the vehicles reputation. Generally, by looking online, on forums, magazines, and other forms of media, you can find reviews on different makes and models of the repossessed car, truck, SUV or boat you are considering bidding on. From automotive magazines to online reporting services, you can find various information about the vehicle you are interested in.
* Why is the car repossessed? Find out why the car you are interested in is in a police or seized auction? This can also give you valuable insight to how the vehicle was treated or if it had been wrecked in any way. Such information can be very, very valuable in your repossessed car conquest and should always be addressed.
* Go with your gut instinct and watch others who are interested in the various repossessed cars, trucks and other vehicles. If people are staying away from a certain car, truck, boat or other vehicle, you have to ask yourself, “Why?” If you have a bad feeling about a certain repossessed vehicle, then go with your gut instinct. You’ll be happy you did!
These steps, combined with experience and the right resources, you will be well on your way to becoming a repossessed-buying tycoon! Proper Tires are Important for Winter
With the well being of yourself and your loved ones hanging in the balance, proper road safety is obviously of the utmost importance regardless of the season. Of all the seasons, however, winter is almost certainly the most dangerous of them to be on the road. Whether it’s because of your reduced visibility due to rain and sleet or your loss of traction due to wet or frozen conditions, the world of driving definitely becomes a more dangerous one in the winter months. So what can you do to keep yourself and your loved ones safe on the snowy roads? Making sure that you’re using the right equipment is probably your first, and most effective line of defense. And when it comes to driving in winter conditions, the right equipment means winter tire
How do winter tires work? Winter tires, or snow tires, are manufactured specifically to gain traction in less than favorable weather, that is, when there’s plenty of stuff under your car that’s not road. Most substances that can mean loss of traction work against your car in pretty much the same way, by getting between your tire and the road which means the spin of your tire is expended on moving the mud, snow or rain instead of “moving” the road. The way to combat this is by using tires with specially designed grooves that trace diagonally from the middle of the tire’s tread towards ts outer edges. As your tire presses down onto the driving surface, it forces the mud or snow into those groves and out towards the edges of your tire, ensuring that more of the flat, raised parts of your tire are gripping the road. The more of your tire that is in direct contact with the road, the more traction you get and the safer your drive will be and less likely you’ll need roadside assistance.
How do I know if my tires are snow tires? The Rubber Manufacturers Association, or RMA, maintains specifications which, if met, designate tires as approved for use in snow and mud. These specifications have to do with the spacing, depth, and width of tread in the tire, as well as the resulting amount of surface area that’s in contact with the road. Luckily, you don’t need to learn the specifics about the snow and mud designation, because tires that meet the specification bear an emblem on their tire wall that reads “S+M”, “S/M”, “M+S” or “M/S”. Just look for the emblem or ask you friendly dealer for tires that are sow and mud rated.

What is a good truck to go Mudding with?!?
i just got my license and want to find a good truck to start out with!!
i say get one of the big 3, GM, ford or dodge, get something full size with a V8, get something with balls lol, i have a 98 chevy silverado 4×4 Z-71 with a 5.7L 350 stock height and i love it, i put it in a mudhole so deep the water came up to the grille and there was water in the cab almost to the top of the transmission hump, i got it out on my own by working it out, didn’t need another truck or anything to pull it out, then i drove it home lol, its my daily driver but if you want something primarily for mudding and is bad a** int he mud then get something older, like an 80s model and put dana 44 differentials in the front and rear axels, don’t need to replace the whole axles, just get the differential and have thicker axle shafts that go from the differential to the wheels
What should I do? Is he cheating?
Ok i figured out my boyfriends mysapce password i looked in his inbox and there is a message from some girl. Her pic was one where she was topless but turned around backwards and her message said "isnt mud boggin and four wheelin the best?" so i went to his sent box and there was not a message sent back to her and she hasnt messaged him since. he doesnt act weird or act like he is cheating. and i dont want to ask him about it cause he will be upset that i was on his myspace. what do i do???
Probably not. First off you should never ever ever ever go into a dudes personal stuff. Thats not healthy because now you have a question about something you shouldn’t know about and he is really the only one who can answer it. However in this case it just seems like spam mail so I’m not sure. Since they haven’t continued the conversation you can assume that its nothing because it all likely hood its not anything. Like I said most likely spam mail or something.
At this point I promise you what will make you feel better is confessing that you figured out his password and curiosity got the best of you. While you were in there you saw a message that while you don’t want to think it makes you think there might be someone else. Let him know that you really want to trust him and you care about him. And whatever he tells you leave it at that. After he tells you, you should tell him to change his password to something that you won’t figure out because you trust him. And you probably shouldn’t try to figure it out again. Cause then you will have lied. But no do NOT keep checking his myspace. Thats only going to make things worse especially if he catches you. Trust me coming clean is the best thing to do in this situation. Removes the guilt for looking at something personal and also answers your question.
