How do you tell if a pickup truck has been mudding?
Looking at a Dodge Ram 1500 4×4 and it’s been very thoroughly detailed. This kind of got me thinking maybe it’s been mudding and it was detailed so thoroughly because it was so dirty. Where can I look that might have been missed? Or are there any other ways to tell if this vehicle has seen mud? Thanks in advance
The one place that people forget to clean out is inside the crankshaft pulley, I have run across this many times when a customers kid states that they do not 4-wheel and 9 times out of 10 the inside of the pulley has mud that’s dried up..
Jumped truck mudding, now have a slight headache?
Yesterday i went mudding with my truck and hit a jump well it landed pretty hard. And ive had a very minor headache since( can hardly feel it) i thinking it was probably a minor case of whiplash probably?
Are you surprised to have some kind of injury from that?

Need ideas on my mudding truck?
Ok so I might be buying a 1979 f150 4wd… It has a Small Block 400 in it with a 205 Transfercase in it. Also lifted 12 inches and has 44s on it. What are some ideas that I could do to it to beef it up some more and also what are some common problems with older trucks? but most importantly I am a college student so the cash flow isnt heavy.. just need to make it perform good and look even better.

well first of all when it comes to vehicles nothing is cheap but you can add either spacers or get offset rims to move your tires out makes it look good i dont recomend the spacers muddin so cuz they cud break but you can you can add a snorkel so water dont get in the intake engine you can get after market bumper (depending on the ones you get they can be pricy but if its for muddin a pipe bumper wud b fine unless you want looks then you need a ranch hand or road armour) bigger rims will increase ground clearance

Haha not everyday you see a girl that likes mudding. Awesome! Get a lifted truck. Although budgets are always a problem. You may also want something more practical like something with four doors. You may also want to look at Jeeps. They are cheap to buy and parts are cheap and there are many, many parts.
Try looking through your local online listings. Type in 4×4 or lifted and the will likely be some interesting results.

Generally though it will not win you any guys. I’m 17 and drive a big truck. I get many comments on my truck but I can assure you it does not make any girls like me more. And I can say that If I met a girl that if she drove a mudding truck it would not be a deciding factor.

Deep Pit #9 Valley District Fair Mud Bog 8-15-09
It is still surprising the amount of quality events around this area in Northern West Virginia. Valley District Fair was a short twenty minutes from Morgantown in Reedsville, WV and they had two mud bog pits for the day. The deep pit only saw two trucks break all the way through all night while the mud drag racers tore across the shallow pit with roaring speed. It was a fun night in a fair that has tons for kids to do.
