Have Fun While You Are Driving

Most people find that driving a car is part of their every day lifestyle and something that they just have to do. As a result there are many who would prefer not to have to drive at all. This is most true for those people that have to travel for long distances or often have to deal with peak hour traffic. Think of the poor people with very fast cars who can’t do anything but drive at a snail’s pace when there is too much traffic.

We have to try and find ways of making the act of driving fun again and sometimes it would seem is if this is almost impossible. But don’t be convinced that this is the case because it isn’t and there are a number of things that one can do so that you come to view your car as an integral part of your daily relaxation.

There are a number of steps that one can take to ensure that you make the most of your car journey. These can be applied whether you only have a short drive or a very long journey ahead of you.

As a first step, ensure that you have good music in your car. This should include music for different situations, so chilled out tunes for when you find yourself in the middle of a traffic jam, something with more of a refreshing beat for that early morning drive to work and then finally old favorites that will be the perfect companion on the open road. Make sure that everyone who is regularly in the car gets to contribute to this, that way you can avoid fights. So use music to set the tone.

In the mornings on your way to work you can make sure that you get the best start to the morning by ensuring that you take care of any meeting scheduling or task organization in the car. There are many mobile phones that now have functionalities that work in conjunction with various cars, have a look at yours and see if it does this. If you are able to get your mind set ready for work before you even step into the office, this is going to be a great start to the day.

Do a similar exercise on the way home from work. Ensure that you put the work day behind you by checking up on those tasks that you didn’t get to and scheduling them for the next day. Congratulate yourself on everything that you did manage to achieve and then close the door on work. Make sure that you have some relaxing music playing and take some nice deep breaths through your nose and out through your mouth.

Take the time on your drive home to make sure that you take a good few nice breaths so that you provide enough oxygen to your body. This will slow down your heart rate, make you feel refreshed, relaxed and revitalized.

Driving need not be a hassle if you treat it as a part of the day when you get to have some time to yourself with your thoughts. Try these exercises and you are bound to find the driving experience a lot more interesting to say the least.
