Hotwiring a Ford F-150?
I have a 1988 ford f150 4wheel drive I'm going to turn into a mud bogger. However, My father tried to start it while it was in drive (its an automatic) and the switch came loose. It left it on, and the key was just freely moving, you could turn it any direction all the way around, you couldn't turn it off and you couldnt turn it over. It's still like that. It ran the battery down. I'm wandering that since I'm just turning it into a mud bogger if I couldn't just hot wire it. How would I do this? It would keep me from spending alot of money for a mechanic and stuff to replace the switch and it doesnt matter since its just an old mudd boggin truck.
Find your starter solinoid and there should be two wires going into it. just jump something across them. We do that on our older tractor. we actually attached a wire to each one going into the solinoid and ran them into the cab. All we have to do is knock them together with something insulated.

6-3-07 Lee Ann ATV Mud Boggin!
6-3-07 This video is comprised of pictures and video of me and my girlfriend Lee Ann bogging in a nearby pond. We visited this pond the day before and it was raining like crazy. It filled it up some but it was just right for bogging. That Honda 300 might be 2×4 but those Gators on the back demand respect! My baby Lee Ann sure can sling some mud and that’s a good thing. We will definitely have to do it again sometime. I love you Lee Ann!
P.S. To the people commenting about me wearing shorts or this not being hardcore enough…yall need to move along. This was the first time she operated my ATV so take it easy. I’ll save submarining for later on.
