how to spin mud pit donuts in a half ton pickup lifted 4″, no sway bars, without flippin?
my truck is mainly stock, no roll bars or anythin to keep it (and me) from gettin wrecked if it were to roll. i like to get crazy muddin but i always worry bout keepin it right side up.
If you only use the truck for muddin, or you have a 9″ style diff (one you can pull the whole centre out) I would either weld the diff you have, or buy another centre and weld that one up. A locked diff will throw much tighter, faster donuts than an open diff, and even a limited slip diff. If you have some spare cash and dont want the diff locked permanently, try an air locker. You will be surprised at the diffrence.

79 chevy truck back wheels are stuck to drums?
I bought a 79 chevy 4×4 for a muddin toy, and want to but some mud tires on the back, but the rims are rusted to the drums, I tried a sledge, hammer, kicking it and the still wont come off,any body got ideas how to get them off
spray the drum with penetrating oil, let it soak, spray it again. apply pressure to the back side of the tire using a long pry bar or 2×4 and at the same time, with a large hammer or small sledge hit the axle center. You may have to destroy any center cap that may be in the way. The pry bar or 2×4 should be pivoting on the frame at one end touching the tire in the middle and sticking out to where you can pull on it on the other side. You will need two people.

6 inch suspension lift vs 3 inch suspension lift?
i have a 2006 4wd Toyota Tacoma Double Can Short Bed with the off road package, i was wondering what suspension lift i should get, a 6 or a 3, im planning to get 35 inch tires and i use my truck as a daily driver, muddin, going to the desert, hitting the dunes on the beaches etc
if your set on a 35″ tire–you have no choice and but to go with a 6″ lift. A 3″ lift will only allow a 32″ to be used with out hitting. Make sure you get the travel stops so that the tires don’t strike the body.

How do I test the condition of the 4 wheel drive of a used truck i want to buy?
The truck is an older toyota that is famously reliable. But it’s for sale in the middle of San Diego, so it’s not like I can go muddin’ on a test drive to make sure the 4WD works well. What can I do in the middle of a city that won’t get me ticketed or piss off the owner and establishes that the 4WD is at least functioning?
just put it in 4 wheel drive and drive it around corners and you will be able to tell if the 4×4 parts are working because they will want to straighten out the steering while you are cornering hard and you will also be able to hear if it is making strange noises ! make both hard right and left turns. not fast just hard turns !

What is muddin'?
No offence, just wanted to know…It looks like ya'll have fun cuz your truck is all "muddy". lol. I already know you have to have a large truck but how do you go muddin'? And what's the purpose? Thanks for the Answers.
apparently it's a redneck sport and right of passage for young hillbillies in which they take their pickup truck into a muddy offroad spot and proceed to get the thing as dirty and as out of line as possible, while screaming "whoa doggie" and drinking bud light. hahaha.
