is Taking an infant off roading in a mud truck safe?

daughter is currently 9 months old, l her dad(my bf) bought a mud truck so they ‘can have somthing to do that both of them will enjoy’ he says that there are front facing carseats made for going off road and mudding. I don’t think it’s safe for a 1year old to be doing that. The truck better have a cage or sumthing to protect her of they flip or something

First off, no forward facing before 1 year and 20lbs, it’s illegal to do anytime before that. Secondly, the longer your daughter is rear facing the safer she’ll be. Third, as long as she is properly restrained in her car seat that is installed correctly and he doesn’t drive like a moron where he can flip the truck( which would mean you’d need to replace the car seat) he can take her for a drive.

*We used the tractor to tow the Huey onto the paintball field. (Welcome to my world.) Afterward, I tried to drive it off the field without cutting down trees. Got into the slightly wet part-time stream area. It got stuck, but we had paintball to play! So I left it till later. When I tried to start it, it didn’t start. It has been hard to start as the weather got colder. Bought a brand new deep-cycle battery, cleaned terminals/connectors. Fail. Tried spraying silicon into the air intake past the filer and without the filter on. Fail. Tried adding more fuel in case the tilt was making it hard to get fuel. Fail. Tried looking for a manual fuel primer. Fail. If there is one I couldn’t find it and JD doesn’t put their manuals online. They sell them. For a lot. Tried jump starting from my ATV to add some more amps. Fail. The BBQ grill actually worked. We were so happy! Unfortunately, it had taken about 2 weeks of finding the free time to work on it, during which time it rained, more. And we saw this great video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnRRGW6z3UQ but although our “tire log” was larger, our tractor was MUCH larger, and it destroyed it. Want fun? Try tying a log to a tractor wheel in cold mud with chain. Sounds easy. Two guys and a bucket of chains dragged a 5 ton piece of equipment uphill almost 100′ without a winch 2-3′ at a time. The “good ideas” ended once it was started and the oak trunk snapped because it was too long. The rest was just stubbornness. Anyway, my lesson as a newer land owner is that I will never ever take that tractor anywhere that looks remotely wet again. I’m sending this video to my niece and nephew so I am censoring comments. Sorry, but they’re kids.

Bored In a Hick-town 2

*So before you watch the movie read this!!!!
-The exploder is no longer around. I have since this video bought a 1977 Chevy with 2 inch lift, 2 inch body lift, 33 inch mud tires, 350 small block chevy motor, 4 barrell edlebrock carb, high rise intake, hooker competition headers and dual exaust. But i do miss the exploder, it may have been a piece of shit, but with 300,000 miles and still goin strong i had fun in that little truck.
-It hadnt rained in about 3 weeks, it was dry. Trust me, the mud in the place is usually a great place for mudding. A little while after this video i went back there and the the mud was deep enough to bury your doors, even jeeps were getting stuck. (for all you jeep fans out there) I actually fried the trannsmision in the exploder. Thats why its gone ha. But when we filmed this it was the beggining of winter so the ground was solid and there was no rain. Besides, this video is not called mudding in garrettsville ohio. Its called BORED! in a hicktown. We wernt goin there to mud, we knew it was dried up, we went there cause we were bored and had nothing else to do. SO STOP SAYING THE MUD IS WEAK AND GAY AND THAT WE CANT HANG WITH YOU OTHER PEOPLE!!! We already know thats not mudding, thats having fun when were bored. Trust me, i go to Yankee lake Truck night every friday, i know what mudding is. Hopefully this gets rid of some of the people that keep writing that this is not mudding.*

So it was probably the last good day we could go out mudding before winter came. So i grabbed a camera and called a couple friends and recorded one last video of the season.
