Hey bikeitup14, Im from Australia, an heaps of guys here get HiLux’s, 4Runners, etc, mid 80′s, and throw in Lexus 4.0L V8′s, a crap load of power, also keep in mind that ya diff trns ya wheels, you can all the power and a blown diff going nowhere fast, so look at beefing it up, and your drive train, for a 15 yo kid ya got some wicked ideas, and go the yota’s, they’re unbreakable!!

It will clear 33′s …
It will clear 33′s with just a 3″ body lift with very very little tire rub. Only when you bottom real hard with it full turn. 4cyl. all the way, avoid the V6, I have V6 5sp in a 90 4runner on 33′s now and it’s a turd! Stick with the 4cyl and regear it. You will be much happier. 4:88′s work nice with the 4cyl and 33′s. V6′s burn valves and blow out spark plugs real easy. Only real down fall to the 4cyl’s is poor top end oiling, just keep an eye on oil level. Have fun!!!
