what is the best engine for a mud truck?

I have a 84 custom deluxe with 44 inch boggers and no motor. i want to run it in the mud bogs. What would be the best engine for the price that i should get for it(i don't want to put too much money into it).

High-Horsepower/High-RPM motors will be your friend…..

You need to get those big ole' ugly tires spinning as fast as possible….

   Brand new GM 502 CID crate motor,and then take to 572 CID!!!! GRRRR!!! Good Luck!!!

   Skip the 502 and go straight to the PN. 12498793 / 620 HP. 572 ci. crate motor.
