These goodyear …
These goodyear wrangler HP’s I have on my ram SUCK bad….they just turn into race-slicks in the mud…quite useless, so I’ve been doing some research for some better tires, so far I’m leaning towards the Toyo MT’s, and this video helped, lol

yes my friend, you definatley need a lift. I traded in my 4 door heavy duty with the 6.0 in it, and that had great clearencem for a 1500 extended cab Z-71 with the 5.3 in it. First thing I did was buy a leveler kit. Makes a of a difference!!!!
I have a 1/2 ton …
I have a 1/2 ton Chevy and a Ford F-150 Offroad with a locker. I am a crop consultant and drive over 20,000 acres yearly and the Ford will go through a LOT more than my Chevy. I even have more aggessive tires on the Chevy. Every Chevy I have had sits so low stock, they are great on the hwy but suck for clearance and weight in the box. Just a small 300 ATV would make my 1/2 ton Chevy squat in the rear. Good motor and ride but the rest sucks, rear end is tiny compared to my Ford.

ive got the tires just need the lift. and it helps out of the mud so it does do some good.

lockers only go so far and tyres and lift only go so far lift and tyres are so ya in diff n other doesnt get caught on tree roots or get stuck in bad ruts where ya diff jus sits on the ground while ya wheels sit there and spin(thats why ya get bigger tyres cuz lockers dont mean if the tyres dont touch the in ground)you think you can have one with out the other and you will never get stuck man where the do u get your logic from….

not to bad i also bought an air filter cover for it that just goes over the filter which really helped. but it did get dirty after about a day of mudding with it. i’d recommend having another filter on hand just in case

Wow really, i’ve got a 91 chevy, no lift, 285’s and i blew through that same stuff in 2, not even almost stuck.
keep your locker and keep your lift, lifts are for s who can’t get it up themselvs and lockers are for cityboys that can’t drive

bigger tires just means you will be stuck deeper. someone with a ford will stop by and laugh. satisfying? do what you have to do and I will have fun with my locker… best luck to you greenhorn

haha locker dont mean if both tires cant grab. so by putting a lift in i can get bigger tires underneath hence bringing the diffs up and not getting humg up. have fun with your locker

fine. have it your way. experience means nothing to most people. install your lift and have the same problem again. please post a vid from the same spot with the lift. I can go thru the same with my locker with no 4wd and no lift and not be ashamed. have fun
