The 265 Chevy of the 70′s was the weakest with only 90 HP SAE net. The Olds 260 was good for 120 HP and made more low RPM torque than similar sized Chevy and Ford V8′s, the 267 Chevy had 110 HP . The 255 Ford sucked so bad that even the lame inline sixes of the day were better. Old SBC engines with flat tappet cams usually have rounded lobes and a cheap RV cam and lifter kit would make that 305 wake up and run strong.

no, i suscribed to davidsfarm and i found out that there were holes at where the tires were. when he went mudding, it drenched the spark plug wires, and so the distributer (the thing that tells which spark plug to shoot fuel at and when) went haywire. he said if it wasn’t drenched, the car was running new.
