Automotive Seat Covers ” Choosing To Protect Your Vehicle

There is no need to worry about stains from messy friends, pets, or coffee spills during the morning commute, when automotive seat covers will protect your upholstery. Protecting the inside of your car from grime and stains is better than having to waste time cleaning the inside of your car.

For the best fit and protection most automobile seat cover vendors recommend buying custom-fit covers. Why? If you use custom-made covers, you’ll protect your automobile’s interior and it will always look as if you’ve just driven it out of the dealership. It will no doubt bring it all sorts of positive effects for your car if you are strict and straight forward at keeping your automotive seat covers on.

The best car seat covers are those that are custom-made to fit the exact size of your seats, because not all ready-made seat covers will fit. A car seat cover that is too tight can also do damage to your car seat, thats why a snug custom-fit car seat cover is the way to go.

Often people who purchase custom-fit automotive seat covers for their cars also want to choose custom colors and fabrics, or if their being really adventurous, a custom pattern or design!

With such a variety, it is easy to see how a person could get confused when trying to make the best choice. You’ll find you do better shopping for a car seat cover when you keep clear of all distractions and keep yourself relaxed. Shopping for automotive seat covers is a decision that wasting money would be a bad idea for.

There are many fabrics available when choosing your covers. Ensure that your choice is not only the one perfect for you but also for your automobile.

Make sure to purchase automotive seat covers that do not clash with the color of the exterior of your car. If you can’t decide, try neutral colors.

Please keep in mind that it will, in fact, cost considerably more money to have your automotive seat covers custom made. Once you come up with the best covers for your seats possible, it will be really worth it.

Prepping Your Jeep Wrangler for the Winter

Winter almost always equates to more difficult and dangerous terrains and trails for any off-road enthusiast. However, more risk involved means more fun and excitement to the hardcore Jeeper. If you own a Jeep Wrangler, you know that winter can really be great time to go off-roading. That is if your Jeep Wrangler can take on the winter and what it brings to the table.

Integrating your Jeep Wrangler with the appropriate accessories can beef up your 4×4 vehicle and take on any trails on winter time. And there are a lot of Jeep accessories out there. This article will help you pick the best parts to transform your Jeep Wrangler into the ultimate winter 4×4 off-road machine.

Getting a top for your Wrangler should be a priority as rain and heavy downpour of snow and ice will be the norm of the weather. A winter top for your Jeep Wrangler will not only provide with some shade, it will protect you from the elements. Once the sun starts to peek through the cloud, you can just remove the top and bask in its warmth again.

Icy roads and snow-covered trails can be tough to drive on. It is best that you fit your Jeep Wrangler with tires that sport winter treads. These winter tires will give you a good bite on the road, thus giving you a great degree of control over your vehicle.

Aside from snow, mud also seems to be a normal sight during winter. And while it is fun to splatter mud all around, mud can get inside your Jeep and do some dirty work on the carpets and interiors. Fit your Jeep’s interior with floor mats and liners to help maintain your Jeep’s interior configuration.

If you plan to go on an off-road challenge during winter, better add these items in your pack as they are really essential – jacks, fuel containers, and camping equipment. Winter is very unpredictable and getting stranded is very likely. You don’t want to be in such situation when the winter air is blowing around.

Off-roaders welcome winter as the season brings a lot of risky prospects. Winter present them with trails that are clad in snow and ice and dangerous off-road routes that scare the hell out of ordinary drivers. Having said that, experienced off-road enthusiasts still respect nature and prepare well for a long drive ahead. If you are a hardcore Jeep Wrangler driver, you will do the same.

Choose The Right Extended Warranty

Imagine you are on a long drive soaking in the sounds and the sights whizzing past you. It is the ideal vacation, far away from the madding crowds, the work place, the mundane routine, the freedom of driving wherever, whenever and all of a sudden your car stops, of its own violation. Silence, the sounds and sights stop whirring; your dream vacation is beginning to look just that ” a dream. You take a deep breath, sigh loudly and whip out your mobile and make a call to the nearest car repair facility. They tow your car there and you find out from the mechanic that you have to shell out your last buck getting your precious ride back on the road because your car is out of the warranty period. Is it expensive? You bet it is!

If it is a car, expensive or not, you can be sure they all break down some day. Why don’t you just be prepared for that eventuality? In this case, having an extended auto warranty would have been a boon. More often than not, it is the cost of getting the car repaired which causes stress rather than the condition of the vehicle in question.

Extended warranties generally can and do save you money in the long run. However, if you lease a vehicle and plan to turn it in at the end of the lease period, the extra cost is probably the best idea. But if you bought your vehicle, you may want to look at a warranty based on how long you plan to keep the car. While extended warranties may seem costly at the time of buying, they typically recover their own costs for long-term owners, and some actually have a buy-back clause that makes them a “can’t lose” investment.

These days, maintenance has become very costly but repairing a car costs more. If your extended warranty covers the huge amount of your car repair bill, like a usual transmission failure, then your policy will pay for itself. Repairing and replacing cost of transmission failure is about $2000, which is closer to a re-manufactured units cost. What will be the cost for an air-conditioning failure? It will be near $700 or more based on actual repairing cost. If $100 is deductible from your entire amount of bill, you are a step ahead.

Generally, at the time of purchasing a vehicle one should purchase the extended warranty contract. However, some contracts may be bought later without giving any penalty charges. When you are about to take the signature for your DMV and other finance papers from F&I(Finance & Insurance), perhaps you will be asked for purchasing an extended auto warranty for your vehicle. If you are interested then you will be asked for the choice of either the brand of manufacturer or a contract of an aftermarket brand.

Some dealers offer either manufacturers brand of contract or an aftermarket brand of contract. Generally, it depends upon the dealer what brand of contract they will provide. At the time of purchasing the vehicles, if they do not offer the manufacturers brand of contract you must ask them about it specifically to know whether they have any. I can remember that one of my friends once purchased a new Ford SVT contour from a dealer with the offer of an extended warranty for the vehicles. It was an aftermarket brand contract. When he asked for the Ford Extended Service Plan (ESP) means manufacturers brand of contract, the finance person said that they had no information on the manufacturer-backed warranty and they sold only the contract of aftermarket brand.

My friend claimed to purchase only a Ford warranty based on my bold advice. Further, after a profound investigation the F&I person was able to give the required information. My friend decided to purchase the contract with its coverage considering all the cost of different levels of coverage and accumulating the mileage and his planned time of ownership. The F&I person admitted that it was the first time he was selling an extended warranty of manufacturers brand. He had to check and follow the Ford ESP policy book while filling out the required papers properly. Never accept no for an answer. If the name of a vehicle manufacturer company is on the structure, they must sell you that manufacturers brand of contract.

There are two reasons why a dealer sells only one brand of contract: he is either tied in with the manufacturer, or is making more money selling the aftermarket brand of contract. For their own financial interests and lucrative gain, some dealers have their own branded contract with some fancy and impressive name. One thing is sure that the smart business policy invokes the dealers to go for money where they find it. The F&I persons commission is tied with specific brand of contract he is selling. So, be alert about all these things and choose the best option necessary for you. Do not allow them to take an upper hand and score more commission.

Consider the usage of the plan you purchase before you decide. The manufacturers plan allows you to use it at any of the authorized dealer across the country while the aftermarket plan lets you use the warranty only with the dealer from whom you bought the plan.

You must ask these questions: How does the plan work all across the nation? Do you have to pay first and then will it be reimbursed? Does the company make the payments over the phone through any credit card or you have to pay from your pocket first? What kind of repairing facility is available in the plan? Or whether getting authorization is taking too much of time! Will any representative from the warranty company come to investigate the vehicles?

While considering the repair facility, one should opt for the manufactures brand of contract that is very easy to deal and that company which is already on the payment program. Other than your vehicles repair that is out of coverage you do not have to pay from your pocket. In some rare cases, inspection is required but for most of the repairing cases, payments are done instantly and the total process is seamless. Quick financial approval accelerates the task of repairing without any hazard with lower financial burden. This is the main utility of these plans.

Once you choose the auto warranty you would like, you’ll usually find that you are offered different levels of coverage within the same brand of contract. Some of those levels are for parts coverage, some are time and/or mileage levels and some are for the amount of your deductible. But first, systematically evaluate your estimated requirements for time and mileage, and base your decision on this factor. Some of you may put a lot of miles on a vehicle in a short time, so a high mileage plan (rather than an extended time plan) may be your most workable option, money wise. Again, people who plan to keep their vehicle for a long time without driving it over long distances may want a longer time period plan with lower mileage coverage.

The third factor, after the time and mileage, is the parts coverage. Several levels of coverage may be on offer ranging from silver and gold to platinum or for example, a powertrain plan that covers only the engine, transmission and differential. Lengthier the list of components covered more money it will cost you. Get the best value by purchasing the best coverage plan you can afford after considering all the factors.

Lastly, given a chance, you should select your deductible. Different options with variation of deductibles are offered. It starts from $0, $50, or $100 with a few extra costs to promote from a$50 to a $0.

You should verify whether the deductible charges are applicable for per repair or per visit. Per visit means one deductible for any number of repairs per visit. Per repair means if five parts are to be repaired under the warranty, coverage then you have to pay five deductibles.

One or more standard features may be included that make the contract more cost-effective. Among these are roadside assistance, covering items such as a tow service or, in case of emergencies, hotel bills, food and other unanticipated expenses when you are away from home. Another attraction could be a buy-back clause that allows you to get part or all of your money back if you do not use the contract. The buy-back clause makes getting a warranty financially more suitable for many people who may be in two minds about the purchase. Make sure also that the policy is transferable, because this is an excellent selling point if you decide to sell the vehicle before the extended warranty policy lapses.

Obviously, cost is a very significant factor in all of this, but you should remember that you can add the price of the warranty contract to the financing of the vehicle, in most regions of the US, to help distribute the cost over the duration of your auto loan. When you are looking at another couple of hundred dollars to move to the next level of coverage it adds up to a very small increase in your payments. Consider the most reasonable plan that you can comfortably afford.

Dealers, in general, mark up their prices over the suggested retail of an extended warranty plan. The ADM (additional dealer markup) is posted on the vehicles. Best way to find out if the dealer is giving you a suggested retail or their own marked up price is to ask around and check with other dealers. Negotiate with the dealer to get a better deal on the extended warranty.

Keep in mind that a vehicle purchase is one of life’s bigger investments. Even though it is likely to be a slight gamble, buying extended warranty coverage that you may never have to use is still worth it because of the peace of mind it offers. What you spend in the short term will contribute to your mental calm if you are need to call in the tow truck while you are on holiday, stuck by the roadside, with a broken hot rod.

Cheap Auto Glass

The number one question you have to answer, in regards to dealing with a cracked windshield, is whether you need a complete replacement (which will cost you around $200) or just a repair (which is priced at around $40).

The probability of you getting a replacement windshield is greatly increased if the cracks make the surface uneven, or are located at the center or the edges of the windshield. A lot of the auto glass services in your area will come to you directly.

If we see a crack in our windshield we automatically assume the worst and think that the windshield is going to crack in no time. This is not really the case because the windshield consists of a 2 layers (2 plastic layers sandwich in a glass layer). As such, you can expect your windshield to last a long time without further damage, especially if the crack is tiny.

If you want to play it safe, however, you can call an auto glass service to inspect and perhaps repair the damage. Seeing that a repair, and even a replacement, is not that expensive, its probably worth calling your local auto glass repair service.

If you find out that you need a complete windshield replacement, you can save a lot of money by going to a junkyard and picking up a nice used windshield from there. Since color does not matter, theres a good chance that you’re going to find a matching windshield for your auto.

After you purchase the used windshield from the junkyard, it is best that you seek the services of an auto glass business as you may cut yourself if you try to install the windshield by yourself. It will cost about $40 to get the pre-owned windshield installed.

Wouldn’t your auto insurance policy pay for the cost to repair or replace a damaged windshield?

It depends. If the windshield got damaged in an accident, in which the other party was found to be at fault, their property damage liability will pay for the cost to repair the windshield. If, however, the crack appeared from no apparent accident you’re going to need comprehensive insurance to pay for the damages. If you don’t have comprehensive coverage, then you’re out of luck.

Regardless of these facts you should talk to your insurer to see what their specific policies are.

Buying Cheap Go Karts

Finding cheap go karts is a lot easier than you may think, you just have to wait a little longer before you buy. But don t worry, not too long. It s really a simple tactic that I call price shopping. Price comparisons are certainly something you have already heard about, but if you do it right you can find some great discounts.

In the olden days you had to call up different stores or actually go visit them to get some price comparisons for racing or off road gokarts. But today we have the internet which makes it a whole lot easier. It still takes a little work and some patience, but the savings can be well worth the wait.

Saving up to 50% on the price of a great go kart is worth waiting a couple of weeks for. Once you ve done your homework you just might be rewarded with a wonderfully cheap gokart. And once the work is over, it s fun time.

You can find gokarts in the $100 range on craigslist or even cheaper if you are willing to turn a few wrenches on it. Working on your own gokart is a good way to learn all about it and have fun while doing it too. Kids as young as 6 years old can begin racing gokarts and driving them under close supervision. Starting kids very young in racing helps them to develop skills that would be impossible to learn at an older age. Also kids that get into racing at a young age tend to stay out of trouble a little better.

Cheap go karts can quite often be the path into much better go karts and even into go kart racing. Getting started into go karting in usually the hard part. once you buy the first kart you will begin to collect parts and pieces and before you know it you will have a nice collection of stuff. It is usually at this point that you trade up or sell off what you don’t need in order to get newer, better, or more expensive go kart gear

Buying Used Go Carts is one way to ensure you get a cheap go cart when it comes time to buy. a used go carts can be just as good as new if you know what to look for. You will want to check the brand of engine that is used on the go cart, the more well know brands are Briggs and Stratton, Honda and Tecumseh. The most common of the three for go carts would be the Briggs and Stratton small engine, this would also be the easiest to learn to work on for a beginner.
