King of the Mud 1 Marietta Mud Bog 10-15-11
“King of the Mud” mud bog race from Washington County Fairgrounds in Marietta, Ohio held on October 15, 2011. The last couple of years this has been one of our favorites due to the fact both bogging trucks and racing rails show up for the challenging deep pit.

Deep Mud Bog Wirt County Fair, WV #3
Wirt County Fair’s mud bog was held on August 7, 2010 in Elizabeth, West Virginia. We had been to the fair once in 2007 and it was definitely time we made it back. The day started with a mud pit that turned into a rough speed pit with trucks bouncing all over the place. After around 160 runs in the pit it was dug out for the over 40 deep pit runs, and we mean deep pit. Although only two guys made it through all of the trucks provided plenty of bogging action.

Brooke Hills Park #2 Mud Bog 5-14-11
Hillbilly Proud had a blast on our first visit to Brooke Hills Park in Wellsburg, West Virginia. The park and the area are absolutely beautiful. Besides the mud the park features a pool, mini golf, golf, pavilions, and a seasonal haunted house. The pit was a good 200 ft long. Most every truck could make it 140 ft. but the last 60 ft. challenged just about everyone. It made for a great day of mud bogging and we hope we can return soon. They have races every month during the summer and their website is brookehillspark.com

Mud Bogging #1 Randolph County Fair 2010
The next day after our second trip to Big Boys Mud Bog we headed down to Beverly, WV on September 19, 2010 for Randolph County Fair’s first mud bog. There weren’t many trucks to show up that day. The ones that did found a great pit. The first few trucks flew over the wet pit, but then the pit started getting stirred up and deep. Not everyone could make it through after that, but a few strong trucks did. It was a great day and thanks to our friends from Tucker County 4×4 for running the show.

Deep Pit #2 Valley District Fair Mud Bog 8-15-09
It is still surprising the amount of quality events around this area in Northern West Virginia. Valley District Fair was a short twenty minutes from Morgantown in Reedsville, WV and they had two mud bog pits for the day. The deep pit only saw two trucks break all the way through all night while the mud drag racers tore across the shallow pit with roaring speed. It was a fun night in a fair that has tons for kids to do.
